We are delighted to be running the Canberra Dance Festival in 2023 for its 29th year and wish to extend a warm welcome to all dancers, teachers and parents.
Canberra Dance Festival is now widely recognised as an enjoyable, friendly and efficient Festival with the emphasis on sharing our love of Dance rather than competition.

Antoinette Debden
Antoinette started her ballet and theatrical training at the age of 3. At 10 she became an associate with The Australian Ballet School under Gailene Stock OM. She was then awarded a 2 year full scholarship to Ecole Classique in Sydney.
In 2001 she was accepted into the Advanced Diploma course at The Australian Ballet School under Marilyn Rowe OM. After graduating Antoinette traveled to Canada and joined Les Grands Ballets Canadians de Montreal.
Moving to Germany she became a Principle Artist with Landestheater Detmold performing as Giselle, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and Clara in The Nutcracker. She was then invited to appear with CaÄŸdaÅŸ Bale TopluluÄŸu Istanbul Turkey as Principal Guest Artist for the 2008 season in Carmina Burana, Samson and Delilah, Black Swan and Don Quixote Grand Pas de Deux.
Returning to America and joined The New York Theatre Ballet in 2009 dancing such roles as lead bolero and tarantella in Soiree Musical, Suite from Mazurka, Cinderella, Carnival of the Animals and Dance Speak on Agnes DE Mille.
In 2012 She then became a co founder/dancer of The Traverse City Dance Project, Michigan USA. Back Home to Australia, Antoinette has coached and choreographed for competitions across Australia, Adjudicated, guest performed and been featured in gala performances for her work both in dancing and choreography.
